About the Opportunity
We are seeking a resilient, proactive, and reliable Independent Youth Mentor to support a 17-year-old male participant based in Woodford, NSW.
This is not a standard care role. We are looking for a consistent male role model (preferred) or experienced mentor capable of building a trusting relationship with a young person experiencing PTSD. Your goal is to build confidence, support emotional regulation, and prepare him for the workforce.
The Role & Key Goals
You will work collaboratively with the participant’s family to ensure safety and well-being.
Key focus areas include:
- Trauma-Informed Support: Managing challenging behaviours and supporting emotional development for a young person with PTSD.
- Health & Lifestyle: Actively encouraging healthier food choices (avoiding processed/fast food) ...
