Job Summary
Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. in Red Deer is seeking a Yard Supervisor to assist the General Supervisor with coordinating shipping activities and supervising a team of shipping and yard crew.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Supervisor in coordinating outgoing and incoming shipping activities.
- Supervise a team of shipping and yard crew.
- Schedule shipments, coordinate with carriers, oversee loading and unloading of trucks, and verify shipping accuracy and documents.
- Provide or arrange ongoing training for employees to equip them with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Create work schedules aligned with product shipment demands while considering employee availability, labour laws, and CBA compliance.
