About the Role:
As a Yard Hand operator, you’ll be at the heart of our yard operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. You’ll work with a variety of freight types and forklift sizes, playing a key role in keeping our operation moving.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in safe load restraint, accuracy, and teamwork.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T & 16T)
- Handling general, ugly, palletised and oversize freight
- Securing loads in line with the Load Restraint Guide using ratchet straps, chains and binders
- Scanning and tracking freight through all stages (received, staged, loaded & unloaded)
- Preparing outbound freight for safe and secure dispatch
- Working with RF scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance
