Job Description
Our client company, a chassis assembly/components manufacturer in North America, is seeking a motivated Yard Goat Operator to join their growing team in a fast-paced manufacturing plant in Sarnia.
Shift: Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 6 pm with overtime availability on Fridays.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
SUMMARY : The Yard Goat Operator will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of intermodal chassis, trailers/containers within the plant and freight yard. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and maneuver yard goat (terminal tractor) to transport intermodal chassis and containers/trailers within the facility perimeter in a busy industrial environment.
- Connect and disconnect transportation equipment from the yard goat using proper safety procedures.
