Workshop Manager (Manufactruring: Heavy Engineering Production Workshop)

Full-time Engineering

Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5 years experience managing a heavy engineering production workshop or machine shop. Proven experience supervising machining, fabrication, welding and assembly operations. Strong leadership, production planning, budgeting and people management skills. Sound knowledge of health & safety, quality systems and continuous improvement. Essential Industry Experience Applicants must come from a heavy engineering production, machine shop or engineering manufacturing environment , with experience managing operations involving: CNC Lathes (large shafts, rollers and precision components) Conventional Centre Lathes Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) Horizontal Borers Milling Machines Radial Arm Drills Surface Grinders CNC Machining Centres Welding Bays (MIG, TIG, FCAW & SAW) Plasma Cutting Tables Guillotines Press Brakes Overhead Cranes Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of a heavy engineeri...
