Workshop Assistant

The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Assist Fitters, Turners, and other artisans with daily workshop activities. Support the assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and components. Operate basic workshop machinery and hand tools under supervision. Assist with measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting tasks. Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly. Load, unload, and move materials and components as required. Conduct basic inspections of equipment and report defects or safety concerns. Adhere to company safety procedures and housekeeping standards. Assist with stock control, tool management, and material handling. Perform any other workshop-related duties as assigned by management.
