Exciting opportunity for a Welding Technician with Ontario Power Generation in Pickering, ON. This full-time role involves advanced welding techniques and metal assembly in compliance with safety standards.
As a Mechanical Technician – Welder, you will work under the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include cutting and fitting metals, performing various welding processes, and fabricating essential components. A strong emphasis on quality control and safety is required throughout each project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cut and form metals according to technical specifications
• Fit sub-assemblies and prepare them for welding
• Execute welding processes like GTAW and SMAW
• Fabricate tools, machines, and equipment as needed
• Oversee quality throughout the fabricating process
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in welding, with a valid Certificate (456A)
