Job Description
Join Aecon’s Nuclear team as a Welding Specialist to support significant refurbishment projects. Focus on developing and optimizing welding procedures in a dynamic environment.
In collaboration with Atkins Realis and Ontario Power Generation, you will play a vital role in the Pickering Retube, Feeder and Boiler Replacement project. Your expertise will guide welders by determining optimal parameters and ensuring compliance with welding standards. You will also oversee welding operations and maintain site readiness for all activities.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop welding techniques and procedures for metals and welds • Oversee welding operations and ensure compliance with procedures • Train welders on applicable welding methodologies • Conduct reviews of weld data and results • Lead troubleshooting activities and manage qualification of welders
