Job Description
Position : Welding Engineer
Industry : Oil & Gas
Contract Duration : 12 months
Job Purpose
- Responsible for management of welding activities (engineering, operation, WPQTs, WQTs, mobilization) for project execution.
- Department's core group, technical expertise and technical improvement.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for welding engineering / operation including interface with PMT and Client.
- Review contractual document and specification (Welding / NDT* / line pipe / FJC*). Provide relevant technical evaluation / deviation / clarification for project execution and bidding / tendering. Review project specific welding / NDT* / FJC* program, execution plan, method statement, schedule, weld map, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and relevant documentation (qualification and installation). (*) Main accountability remains from NDT and Coating Engineers.
