Job Description
Position Title: Welder / Fabricator
Qualification Level: NSDA National Skills Certificate – Level 1 (Welding) + IsDB-BISEW Diploma in Welding & Fabrication.
Employment Type: Full‑time / Contract
Key Responsibilities- Perform SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G positions
- Execute pipe welding in 6G position using electric arc
- Carry out MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding for normal plate and pipe applications
- Apply gas welding and brazing techniques as required
- Perform oxy‑acetylene cutting and plasma cutting
- Execute steel fabrication and pipe fitting following technical drawings
- Read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols
- Use basic mathematical concepts to calculate dimensions, angles, and material requirements
- Maintain proper use of PPE (helmet, gloves, apron, safety shoes)
