Job Description
Purpose
The Welder II role performs production welding tasks using MIG equipment, builds complex forms and weldments with or without fixtures, and contributes to form maintenance and quality assurance to support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Welding Fabrication (35%)
- Build a wide variety of forms—including standards, specials, and SWLs—without relying on fixtures, etched lines, or tab-and-slot indicators.
- Interpret mechanical drawings to guide construction and layout.
- Develop and fabricate simple jigs/fixtures as required.
- Weld forms and structural components using flux-core and high tensile wire.
- Set up welding machines and complete welds manually for consistent build quality.
