About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Welders are responsible for repairing and maintaining site structures and equipment in a shop or field environment. This full‑time hourly position offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights. The position is site‑based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary. This position involves welding and fabricating heavy mining equipment and structures in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and fabricate site structures and equipment in all areas of active mining, mine maintenance, and processing
- Grind, gouge and repair cracks in haul truck bodies, shovel buckets, dozer blades, and other mining equipment
