Job Description
The shipper/receiver is responsible for ensuring efficient operation of the shipping and receiving department. This position will have an ability to safely operate various handheld tools as well as operate a forklift. This position must have an acute attention to detail with an ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill all orders within a timely manner minimizing shipping errors
- Prepare shipping schedules and verify accuracy of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Be a point of contact for customers, resolving any discrepancies and concerns
- Liaise with 3rd party trucking companies for shipment
- Inspect and document damaged product and discrepancies for reconciliation
- Apply labels to product before shipment
- Maintain documentation of all inbound and outbound shipment
- An ability to utilize a forklift and perform inspections
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness daily
