**BluePearl Pet Hospital located in Midtown, Manhattan is hiring an extraordinary Dermatology Veterinary Assistant!**
**Schedule:** Monday-Wednesday in our Midtown location and Thursday in our Brooklyn location.
**Pay:** $22.19 - $30.36
**_This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool._**
**As a Dermatology Veterinary Assistant, you will:**
+ Be comfortable with heavy client communication
+ Obtain patient's history
+ Preferably, be comfortable with routine dermatology medications and side effects
+ Able to use Dermatology terms
+ Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation
+ Prepare for Skin Biopsy
+ Able to recognize alopecia, nodules and tumors
+ Patient care including diagnostic procedures and treatments
+ Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
+ Familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques
+ Familiar with laboratory procedures...
