Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee the farm biosecurity, animal health, and welfares of pigs in all contract-growing farms.
- Develop and implement disease prevention, vaccination, medication, and treatment programs.
- Conduct regular farm visits to physically audit the farm biosecurity, animal health, and welfare to ensure continuity of the business operations.
- Diagnoses disease or any abnormal conditions through physical, behavioral observation, and diagnostics results as basis for proper treatment.
- Performs an epidemiological evaluation of disease outbreak, disease movement, and seasonality of disease to establish preventive measures applicable to each farm.
- In case disease outbreaks; investigate and implement immediate control and containment measures.
- Lead surveillance, sampling, reporting, and compliance with Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) requirements for ASF and other diseases as necessary.
