Job Description
Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a General Practitioner Oncologist, working part-time in Squamish General Hospital. Contribute to oncology care through patient support and collaboration.
This part-time GP-Oncologist position offers approximately 12 hours weekly as part of a 0.2 FTE role at Squamish General Hospital. You will collaborate with oncologists and nursing staff to provide excellent care for patients undergoing therapy and manage adverse reactions effectively. Your role plays a critical part in the cancer care team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee ambulatory oncology patient care
• Collaborate with specialists and nurses for inpatient support
• Write and manage chemotherapy treatment orders
• Handle treatment-related side effects efficiently
• Conduct patient reviews in dedicated spaces
Requirements:
• Current CPSBC full license
• Mandatory CCFP certification
• CMPA membership required
• Training from BCCA GPO is needed
