We are seeking a Scientist to support the Vaccine Immunology Program (VIP) to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Gaithersburg, MD.
+ Perform common laboratory duties such as reagent ordering, instrument care, and inventory maintenance.
+ Locate and review literature pertinent to projects and identify/modify the most applicable protocols and methods for experiments.
+ Contribute to the development of new single-cell next-generation sequencing analyses and workflows.
+ Establish and optimize flow cytometry panels for sorting immune cell populations of interest.
+ Isolate and stain lymphocytes from blood or tissue for flow cytometry.
