Job Description

Major/Essential Functions

Technical and Shop Skills:
  • Ability to lead in construction and fabrication of scenic elements, including carpentry, metalworking, rigging, automation, props, and scenic art.
    • Scenic Studio Management:
  • Tracks and report on the progress of the construction/implementation of scenic process.
  • Manage safe operations and maintain all studio equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain and manage an organized inventory of materials, tools, equipment, and existing stock.
    • Leadership and Management Experience:
  • Collaborate with School personnel to realize and skill season productions.
  • Educate, train and supervise scenic employees and student crews according to industry, institutional and safety standards.
  • Attend and participate in season planning efforts, staff meetings, and other production related meetings.
