Summary This National Guard position is for a UNIT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER, Position Description Number D3022000 and is part of the OH 179 Cyberspace Wing, Ohio Air National Guard. The purpose of the position is to function as the Unit Deployment Manager (UDM), responsible for executing, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of personnel and equipment readiness and deployment planning in support of Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN) requirements. Responsibilities As a UNIT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER, GS-0301-9, you will perform the following duties: 1. Deployment Planning and Execution: Plans, organizes, and oversee all unit-level deployment activities. Configures and maintains functional Unit Type Codes (UTCs) as postured by MAJCOM Functional Area Managers (FAMs) using authorized unit resources. Notifies the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO) and MAJCOM FAM of UTC shortfalls due to manpower or equipment changes. Monitors UTC/UMD alignment and notifies leadership of mismatches.
