The Opportunity
Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. offers an exciting opportunity for an Underground Electrician at the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia, working a FIFO rotation of 14 shifts on and 14 shifts off.
Position Responsibilities
- Demonstrate commitment to adhere to all Mine site safety rules, procedures and regulations, while ensuring the safety of others
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Major involvement in the installation and maintenance of the underground HV supply, dewatering, ventilation and services systems
