POSITION SUMMARY:

•   Under immediate direction, operates equipment, performs routine inspections and maintenance, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and performs a variety of other tasks that support the daily operations of the Miami County Sanitary Engineering department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•   High School Diploma or equivalent, valid Ohio driver’s license.

DUTIES:

• Operates semi-tractor to transfer solid waste for disposal or recycling, assists Transfer Station Operator 2 in loading and compacting solid waste for disposal or recycling, inspects equipment for proper fluid levels and other maintenance needs, processes materials for transfer or recycling, assists customers and enforces safety rules and regulations, assists with maintenance of grounds and facility (mows grass, removes weeds, trims shrubs and trees, plows and shovels snow, removes trash, paints facilities, e...
