Trainee Material Testing Site Technician

Full-time Life, Physical, and Social Science Technicians

As a Trainee Field Technician, you will work on active construction sites, supporting the testing and inspection of materials to ensure they meet required quality and safety standards. This is a hands on role carried out entirely in a site environment.

Key Responsibilities Assist with on-site testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates Carry out basic field tests under supervision (e.g. concrete slump tests, soil compaction checks) Collect and label samples from site for further testing Accurately record test data and observations Set up testing equipment on-site Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules Work closely with other technicians and site engineers Requirements GCSEs (or equivalent), particularly in Maths and Science Full UK driving licence (preferred due to travel between sites) Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one) Skills & Attributes Willingness to work outdoors in all weather ...
