Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Track Inspector to work on our Honolulu Rail Project. As the successful candidate your ideas for continuous improvement and creativity are welcome. The position is based in Pearl City, HI.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan and implement a program of periodic inspections to provide optimum coverage of the railroad track in accordance with the track maintenance and inspection standards, state regulations, and FRA Track Safety Standards.
  • Perform walking railroad track structure inspection for compliance with railroad and project standards and federal/state regulations.
  • Perform walking inspection for 3rd rail and report any problems and best means of correction.
  • During the track inspection, be able to notice physical defects of on-track signaling equipment and on-track telecommunication equipment and report to the appropriate departmen...
