Job Description
The Tooling Engineer is responsible to design and develop composite molds and assembly fixtures to support prototyping activities.
- communicates with the customer;
- follow up NPI project – tool trial schedule ;
- quotes tool modification & repair;
- ensures new project schedule follows customer project timeline
- responsible for providing an efficient process plan for Tooling including clamping method and possibility of automation;
- provides tool modification & repair cost;
- checks 2D drawing to find out error and complicated fabrication process;
- troubleshoots technical problems on all Tooling jobs with solution;
- ensures Tooling process was clearly specified on each drawing (excluding Tooling Standard List);
- maintains the discipline and ensure Hi-P culture practice at all the times;
- participates in any audit required by the company;
