Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Inspects and repairs substrates, removing old tiles, filling cracks, and ensuring surfaces are perfectly clean, level, and waterproof.
- Planning & Measurement: Reads blueprints, marks layouts, and measures areas to calculate material needs and minimize waste.
- Cutting & Shaping: Uses hand tools (like tile cutters) and power tools (like angle grinders or wet saws) to cut tiles to exact specifications.
- Installation: Spreads adhesive or mortar and securely lays tiles, ensuring straight alignment and even spacing.
- Finishing Touches: Applies grout between tiles to fill joints, scrapes away excess material, and applies sealants to protect against moisture.
