Registered Respiratory Therapist
The position involves providing respiratory care services. Shifts are typically scheduled for three 12-hour nights per week, from 18:30 to 07:00. The average daily census in the unit is 100 patients. The patient-to-staff ratio during night shifts is 1:3. Some weekend coverage is required to cover paid time off, but this is not rotated. Clinicians will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Preferred certifications include ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS. The role requires skills in various respiratory therapies and interventions. Experience is required in using equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and ETT. Candidates should be familiar with respiratory diagnostics and treatment methods. Additional responsibilities include performing arterial blood gas analysis and managing tracheostomy care.
