Job Summary
The theatre technician's primary role is to manage all technical elements of a live event, including the setup, operation, and maintenance of sound, lighting, and video systems. Ensure a seamless performance by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with performers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, and maintain sound, lighting, and projection systems during events.
- Prepare and test AV (audio-visual) equipment before performances, presentations, or screenings.
- Handle stage setup, including microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, and lighting rigs.
- Perform sound checks and lighting tests to ensure optimal performance quality.
- Provide live technical support during events, addressing any AV issues immediately.
- Assist with stage management tasks such as moving props, backdrops, and equipment.
