Position Description
A temporary full time (1.0) Primary Teacher is required by School District No. 60 (Peace River North) effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. The assignment will be at Wonowon Elementary School. Wonowon is a rural elementary school located at mile 101 of the historic Alaska Highway, 85 km north of Fort St. John. The school has five teachers, one of whom acts as head teacher. Wonowon Elementary receives district library and administrative support. The student population is 83, many of whom are of Russian‑German background. The school currently has three classrooms, a portable, a gym, and an outdoor play area. A brand new building will be available for 2026‑2027.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)
