Responsibilities

• Process bank teller transactions accurately and promptly.
• Manage and balance the cash float, restock or repatriate cash when limits are reached.
• Dispense and receive cash, cheques, travellers cheques, drafts and other financial instruments over the counter.
• Process and encash cheques presented by customers, checking identification and account details.
• Identify and report suspicious activities or fraud to the team leader or branch manager.
• Adhere to policies for cheque handling, ID verification, and fraud prevention.
• Refer transactions exceeding teller mandate limits to an authorized official for approval.
• Record all transactions in the bank system and ensure proper authorisation before finalising.
• Count cash received or dispensed with appropriate cash counting equipment.
• Reconcile own cash at the start, during, and end of each day, and prepare reconciliation reports for...
