Job Description
The telecommunicator acts as a primary emergency contact, a general information center and a message relay center for the campus. This position coordinates dispatch and deployment of Security and Facilities personnel.
This is a part-time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $21.91 - $26.09 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
+ Works in the Public Safety Telecommunications Center as the primary telephone contact for college matters after regular business hours, on weekends, and during academic breaks 365 days a year.
+ Answers calls to emergency and business telephone lines and email. Serves as the first point of contact regarding emergencies, complex incidents, and requests for service.
+ Prioritizes calls and initiates emergency protocols and notifications as needed. Handles sensitive information discreetly and maintains necessary communications with law enforcement, fire departments, rescue squads, and hospitals....
