POSITION SUMMARY-
The Unified Communications Technician II plays a critical role within the City communications infrastructure team and is responsible for advancing the capabilities and maintenance of fiber optic and network systems. Building upon the foundational skills of an entry-level technician, the Fiber Technician II performs complex installations, fine-tuning, and comprehensive troubleshooting of network operating systems, including advanced microcomputers and wireless systems, to facilitate city-wide communication and service efficiency.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience preferred but not required
Certifications: Completing the Building Industry Consulting Service Internation...
