Job Description
Supplier management of Commodity items (OEM parts and accounts), defined as direct project demand for OEM electro/mechanical parts, Plus Cost Centre parts and services, as well as Technical Drawing (Mechanical Parts) and Plastic parts. Supports in planning operations with technical planner in purchasing team to raise and close project and spares WIP as well as importing engineering data into the business’ MRP system for purchasing, production operations. Owns the process from placement to completion of orders from within the approved supplier list. Ensuring the product supply meets the operational build schedule and that product quality, price & performance KPI’s are met. Day to day liaison with suppliers on relationship & supply issues to conclusion. Track Supplier KPIs and remedial actions with other buyers in the team and the Purchasing Manager.
