Job Description
Lead enriching before-and-after-school programs at YMCA BC as a passionate Team Lead. Oversee staff, engage with children, and promote a safe and inclusive environment every day.
This full-time role includes directing a team for children ages 5–12 at YMCA BC. As the Team Lead, you will support program activities, perform administrative tasks, and ensure that standards align with legislative requirements. A commitment to child-centered programming and community relationships is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct onboarding and training for new staff members
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback
• Design engaging programs for School Age Leaders
• Build relationships with families and community partners
• Monitor staff-to-child ratios and compliance with licensing
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role
• Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
