Job Overview
Under general supervision of the classroom Teacher or Teacher w/ Waiver, the Teacher Assistant supports activities designed to stimulate learning, caregiver involvement, student progress, assessments, and transition into kindergarten.
Pay
Expected hourly pay rate: $20.00. Approved starting pay rate: $22.89 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality preschool services for children enrolled in the Early Care and Learning program.
- Interact with children and families (80%) to support learning and development.
- Maintain staff relationships (10%).
- Carry out administrative functions (10%).
Minimum Requirements
- Education: 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 semester units of Infant & Toddler Development.
