Overview
Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system.
- Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system.
- Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system.
- Perform restores as needed.
- Configure automated database deployment.
- Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- with at least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in IBM AIX, Unix and Power environment.
- Fluent in DB2 programming language.
- Proficient in database design and development.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
