BBVA’s Sustainability CIB team plays a central role in embedding sustainability into the Corporate & Investment Banking business. For BBVA, sustainability is a key growth lever: the bank has set a sustainable business channeling target of €700 billion for 2025–2029, after having channeled €304 billion between 2018 and 2024.
The team’s first priority is to help CIB originate and structure sustainable finance transactions in line with market standards and BBVA’s internal criteria. This includes Sustainability-Linked Loans, Green Loans, Sustainability-Linked Bonds and other sustainable finance products. ...
