Survey Technician
Overview
The Survey Technician supports field data collection and documentation of underground and aboveground utilities on active construction sites. This role is primarily field-based and suited for someone comfortable working independently in a heavy construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform as-built surveys for utilities (water, sewer, storm, electrical, communications)
+ Collect accurate field data using Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment
+ Work within project coordinate systems (RGK) to align with design plans
+ Maintain organized field notes and survey data files
+ Upload and transfer data for processing and reporting
+ Identify discrepancies between design and field conditions
+ Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules
+ Follow safety procedures and maintain survey equipment
