Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sterile Reprocessing Manager and in collaboration with the System Director of Sterile Reprocessing, SPD/HLD Nurse Educators, and Infection Prevention, plans, implements, and evaluates educational and quality improvement activities in departments that perform sterile reprocessing and high level disinfection.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Graduate of Sterile Reprocessing College Course or Sterile Reprocessing Military experience preferred. Equivalent of five (5) years of surgical reprocessing experience required.
· Broad computer skills including Microsoft Software (Word, PowerPoint) required.
· Experience with SPM (instrument tracking system) preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
· Certified Surgical Reprocessing Technician required.
