Job Description
Purpose of the Role
Surgical Kit Technician will be responsible for checking, preparation, management and delivery of instruments and implants to/from hospitals. These management of instruments and implants are also to be carried out within the confines of the MDD operations center.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure work station is clean before starting to prepare to check any return kits or outgoing kits. Always put on PPE while carrying out the duty.
- To ensure returned kits by transporter are complete and correct as per document
- To perform check on returned kit content (instrument and implant) against checklist
- To check functionality of the returned instrument/equipment, defect such as loosen parts, leaks, wear & tear, other indication of disrepair and cleanliness (contamination)
- To perform cleaning as per Work Instruction on instrument that is found to have contained residual material
