Job Description
Influence health and safety at Coeur Mining as a Surface Safety Advisor. This role emphasizes health and safety program development and implementation at the Rainy River mine site.
Located in northwestern Ontario, the Surface Safety Advisor supports safety protocols and leads initiatives to improve overall site safety. You'll work closely with operations to develop, convey, and manage health and safety procedures. This full-time role on a 7/7 schedule allows for a significant impact on the site’s safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and convey safety procedures
• Participate in risk assessments and safety programs
• Inform staff about training course content
• Lead incident investigations and toolbox talks
• Support compliance with Ontario Mine Rescue requirements
Requirements:
• College or Technical diploma in a related field
• 3-5 years of health and safety experience
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act
