Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead a group of support staff on duty to provide effective and appropriate quality care for people with learning and/or physical disabilities, and/or behaviours that may challenge; which aims to maximise the potential of each individual.
To take a lead responsibility for whole service.
To understand and implement policies and procedures of the service
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Care:
1. To provide care for Service Users as required while supporting optimal independence.
2. To review and re assess the resident’s needs as required and communicate changes effectively to all appropriate personnel.
3. Document clearly and accurately in the Service Users care plans.
4. Facilitate and support Service Users in decision making. Promote choice and involvement.
5. Consistently apply non-aversive strategies developed in response to challenging behaviours, and contribute to the r...
