Job Description
Position Summary
The Supplier Quality Engineer develops, implements, and coordinates the supplier approval process, develops supplier performance evaluations/control systems to ensure an accurate register of approved suppliers is maintained, and collaborates with the First Article Inspection (FAIR) process by loading/initiating FAIR files for new parts for both production and supplier new parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a Supplier Approval Process including coordination of Quality and/or technical requirements.
- Develop and implement a Supplier Control System including proposing current & multi-year annual oversight plans – travelling to suppliers for audits regularly.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date register of Approved Suppliers (Approved Vendor List) including status/metrics.
