Summary This position is part of the 147 ATKW at Ellington AFB, Houston, TX. The incumbent of this position serves as the Deputy Fire Chief responsible for the overall management and supervision of the fire protection/crash rescue and fire prevention program for the base. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER with the Texas National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: As Deputy Fire Chief, participates in all aspects of the administration and planning of a comprehensive fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue program at the installation. Responsible for overall direction of the activities of the training, technical services, and operations programs and operation of the communications center.
