Summary This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Technical Operations Services, Operations Support Directorate, Spectrum Engineering Services Group, Spectrum Assignment & Engineering Team, AJW-1910. This Group is responsible for providing technical expertise for radio-based National Airspace (NAS) communication, navigation, and surveillance equipment. Responsibilities The Supervisory Aviation Technical Systems Specialist directs the work of subordinate employees for more than one organizational project/program within a major subdivision. Provides supervision over the Spectrum Assignments and Engineering Group. He/she oversees and leads the design, development, and acquisition of Radio Frequency Interference detection and resolution equipment and radio frequency assignment software tools and databases in order to maintain safe and efficient NAS operations.
