Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time mentoring, hints, and encouragement to students in live text-based math contest preparation classes
- Supplement student learning experiences by answering questions during class sessions
- Support students preparing for high-level contests such as MATHCOUNTS, AMC, AIME, and USA(J)MO
- Maintain an engaging presence in a fast-paced, text-only online classroom environment
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong command of math content (knowledge of physics, Python, or chemistry is a plus)
- Experience with math contests (e.g., MAA AMC 10/12, AIME, USA(J)MO)
- Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in a STEM field
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong English writing and typing skills
- Availability on Sundays from 7:20 pm – 9:00 pm ET
