Job Description
Job Title: Civil Structural Technician
Department: Engineering / Construction
Reports To: Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Patterson Grade: C3 – C5 (depending on experience and scope)
Estimated Monthly Salary (South Africa): R22,000 – R38,000
Job PurposeTo assist civil and structural engineers in the design, drafting, inspection, and supervision of construction projects. The technician provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that plans and specifications are implemented correctly and efficiently on-site.
Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit). Assist in the design and layout of structural elements such as beams, columns, foundations, and slabs. Conduct site inspections and assist with structural assessments and surveys.
