- Continuous improvement: process inspection, first pass rate, start up, nonconformance material, scrap.
- Information acquirement.
- Data stratification (Pareto) and data trends.
- Replication of failure modes.
- Root cause definition.
- Implementation of problem containment countermeasures.
- Definition of action plan and permanent countermeasure implementation.
- Verification of problem solution effectiveness.
- Problem solving documentation.
- Define and document acceptance criteria for manufacturing operations in the transfer of new products.
- Obtain acceptance criteria from suppliers and customers for their parts, assemblies and/or product performance.
- Select and document applicable criteria for each operation, manufacturing or assembly processes.
