The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists by performing advanced technical functions and assisting with professional activities to ensure safe, accurate, and timely pharmaceutical services for patients, staff, and physicians. Working under the supervision of the pharmacist on duty, this role focuses on sterile and non-sterile compounding, medication preparation, and inventory management while serving as a resource and trainer for other pharmacy technicians.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare parenteral products, including IV solutions, IVPBs, and TPN solutions, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and in full compliance with USP 797, USP 800, and USP 795 standards.
+ Complete and maintain required competencies and compounding documentation to support ongoing compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
