Overview
You are an experienced Splicing Foreperson with extensive fibre optic splicing and testing expertise combined with strong leadership skills. You will lead and support a team of Fibre Optic Splicers and Technicians on Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects, ensuring all fibre installations, splicing, testing, and commissioning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise Fibre Optic Splicers and Technicians in aerial, buried, and building applications.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily splicing and testing activities across multiple project locations.
- Perform advanced fibre optic splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning work when required.
- Review project drawings, splice schematics, utility plans, and customer specifications to ensure accurate execution.
