Do you thrive in specialist education and have experience supporting pupils with communication needs?

We're seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants with Makaton experience to join specialist SEND provisions across South Shields.

You'll support children with Autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), speech and language needs and additional communication needs, helping them engage in learning through personalised support and effective communication strategies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within SEND.
• Makaton training or confident practical use of Makaton.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, resilient and caring attitude.
